Working inside the design industry and at the heart of Crewe, Design Office is looking to bring on a Web Developer within their small but dedicated team environment. The Web Developer will be innovative and thorough their attitude will have an interest and desire to achieve new grounds with first rate HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, MySQL, jQuery and JavaScript skills. Design Office work closely with the community and therefore must have a drive to continuously produce high quality work, in addition to solid Web Development skills and knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, MySQL and JQuery. Graduates will also be considered for this position, as long as they can demonstrate a passion for web development and a desire to succeed!

The Package.

Salary: Negotiable and dependant upon experience.

The Role.

The desired Web Developer will have strong experience of building numerous detailed web projects, with a particular fluency in modern web standards and web design principals. It would be advantageous to have some understanding of jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks, together with a good knowledge of browser quirks. You will use your HTML, CSS, JS, PHP and MySQL knowledge to ensure security and scalability throughout the projects and secure cross-browser optimisation. The desired applicant will have a solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript together with a creative flair and a passion for development. You must have the ability to hand-code in PHP and MySQL, in addition to the ability to develop database systems, work from Photoshop files and integrate databases.

* Construct search engines
* Fix technical problems
* Amend existing products
* Implement and manage security measures
* Build and use CMS’
* Use animation and design graphics
* Consult with clients
* Use Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other web authoring software
* Manage & understand a LAMP environment
* Manage domain and hosting services
* Report and communicate to the head Designer
* SEO techniques

The Skills.


* Ability to hand-code HTML / CSS / JS
* Ability to hand-code PHP / MySQL
* Experience developing database systems
* Solid understanding of user interface and user experience
* Degree/apprenticeship educated in Computer Science or similar subject
* Understand and experience of E-commerce frameworks including Magento


* Portal/intranet development
* IT technical skills in administration and maintenance
* Knowledge of WordPress
