We recently had the pleasure of working with Boughey Distribution on designing, manufacturing and installing a range of Warehouse Signage for their brand new premises in Crewe.

When undertaking any large signage projects, we follow a set process in order to deliver a high quality, professional job that runs smoothly and efficiently benefitting both the client and ourselves. Below is an overview to the seperate stages of the Warehouse Signage project that we completed for Boughey and would complete on every signage project.

Initial Consultation & Measure Up:

Upon initial enquiry we meet with the clients on site to discuss their requirements and measure up the locations of potential warehouse signage. During the consultation we recommend where certain types of signage should go and what sizes they should be. This includes; Health and Safety Signage, Directional Signage and any Advertising. Ensuring signage is correctly sized and located is paramount for a successful project, if not done effectively this could lead to a confusing customer/staff journey across site and in some cases it could even lead to invalid insurance if Health & Safety isn’t correct.

Our expertise will ensure that signage is correctly situation and sized making the process stress free for the client.

Signage Design & Specification:

Uniquely, we are design led in everything we do and understand the importance of quality design. In house we employ a team of passionate creative designers with many years of industry experience. When creating initial designs for the signage we will ensure brand consistency throughout, and the correct use of font and colours throughout. We will work with you to understand your likes/dislikes and create a signage specification that works within your budget.

Once initial designs are complete we will superimpose all signage onto its required locations and arrange to meet the client to present the proofs. Superimposing the signage onto its location will give a feel for what the finished sign will look like and allow you to understand the customer journey.

Distribution Signage

Planning:

When required and to make the process as stress free as possible, we will apply for and manage the whole planning permission process. Not all signs require planning, we will advise you on this depending on the specification of the sign and its location.

Manufacture:

Once the designs are signed off, the project will be moved into our in house, state of the art production facility. Our team will manufacture all of the signage to exacting specifications and standards, ensuring colour consistency and quality throughout. A typical warehouse signage project may include the production of Totem Signs, Back Lit Flex Face Building Signs and Health and Safety signs.

With everything produced in house we have total control over any warehouse signage project. There are many benefits to this approach including;

Installation:

Before arriving on site we will carry out all necessary Health and Safety procedures including full Risk Assessment and Method Statement. Once approved by the client we will arrange a suitable installation date. Fitting will then be completed efficiently by our fully accredited and insured team. Warehouse environments are usually a hive of activity, because of this we always strive to complete all jobs as quickly and effectively as possible giving minimum on site interruption.
