School Window Graphics & Bespoke Window Films
For Rudheath Senior Academy
Design Office was delighted to work with Rudheath School, a long-standing partner, on a bespoke window graphics project designed to help reduce sunlight while creating a striking focal point within one of the school’s entrance areas.
The project involved designing and installing custom window graphics across a series of overhead windows, introducing colour and character to the space while helping to control the amount of natural light entering the area.
The finished design creates a unique visual effect that we think gives the windows a fantastic stained-glass feel, transforming what was previously a functional space into a much more engaging entrance.
The Brief
Rudheath School wanted to make better use of the windows within an entrance area that was receiving a significant amount of sunlight.
The aim was to create a solution that would help reduce the impact of the sunlight while also adding visual interest and creating a focal point within the space.
The window graphics needed to be:
- Visually impactful
- Suitable for a school environment
- Designed to help reduce sunlight
- Durable and practical
- Professionally installed
Our Window Graphics Solution
Our team worked with Rudheath School to develop a bespoke window graphics design that would combine practical benefits with an eye-catching appearance.
The graphics were designed to introduce colour and pattern across the windows, creating a distinctive effect while helping to diffuse the sunlight entering the entrance area.
Rather than simply using plain window film, the bespoke design allowed the school to transform the windows into a feature in their own right.
The finished graphics give the area a colourful, vibrant appearance, with the combination of shapes and colours creating what we think is a fantastic stained-glass-inspired effect.
Bespoke Window Graphics for Schools
Window graphics can be a great way for schools and educational environments to make better use of their existing glass spaces.
As well as creating a strong visual impact, professionally designed window graphics can help:
- Reduce glare and direct sunlight
- Add colour and personality to a space
- Create privacy where required
- Reinforce school branding
- Transform plain windows into feature areas
For Rudheath School, the graphics provided both a practical and creative solution, helping to improve the entrance area while creating a much more engaging environment.
The Installation Process
Installing the graphics presented an additional challenge for our team, with the windows positioned overhead and requiring careful access during installation.
Our experienced installation team worked carefully to apply the graphics accurately across the windows, ensuring the design was aligned correctly and achieved a clean, professional finish.
While the positioning made the installation a little more challenging, it was all part of the process and the finished result made the extra effort worthwhile.
The Finished Result
We’re really pleased with how the completed window graphics have transformed the entrance area at Rudheath School.
The finished installation provides:
- A colourful focal point within the entrance
- Reduced impact from direct sunlight
- A more engaging and welcoming environment
- A unique stained-glass-inspired appearance
- A bespoke design tailored specifically to the space
The project demonstrates how window graphics can be used to combine practical functionality with creative design, turning an everyday feature of a building into something much more visually impactful.
